A Spring Day in Georgetown

We woke up exhausted from our jam-packed day with the cherry blossoms, so on our second day, we ended up sleeping in. Around 11 am we took the metro to Rosslyn station, then hopped on a bus to Georgetown. This charming neighborhood is known for having cobblestone streets, colonial-style houses and fashion stores! I had visited Georgetown before on one of the many childhood trips to DC, but I believe we drove there and mostly stuck to the main street.

Our first stop was Blue Bottle Coffee around the brick warehouses. After that little pick-me-up, we quickly got to exploring this gorgeous neighborhood. We did some window shopping to escape the rain, ate some Vietnamese sandwiches and got my Thai tea fix at Simply Bahn Mi, searched for some cute Instagrammable locations as always, then ended the day by grabbing some macarons from Ladurée and some Georgetown cupcakes for the road.

^^ just realized that this Dean & Deluca closed down… so sad!! ^^
