Washington D.C.

CityCenterDC + Watermelon House + Cherry Blossom Pub

After spending 3 hours enjoying the magical cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin we walked around the city, had a morning pick-me-up at Compass Coffee. We went to see the pink lanterns at CityCenterDC and ate avocado toasts at Fruitive. Then balanced it out by trying the famous cereal milk soft serve (meh) and crack pie (YUM!) at Milk Bar. Afterward, we headed up to the Logan Circle neighborhood to find the super Instagrammable Watermelon House!

We grabbed scooters, seriously these are such a fun way to explore the city and rode a few blocks up to the Drink Company’s Pop-Up Bar in the Shaw neighborhood. During spring they converted the space into a Cherry Blossom Pub in honor of DC’s famous cherry blossoms. We arrived just before they opened since it’s a seasonal pop-up bar it is very popular and were the first people in line! Sadly just read that they shut down on December 31st. This is a really short and sweet blog post, feel free to check out the over 100 photos I shared from the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

^^ ate the pie way to quickly and forgot to take a photo of it, but it’s so delicious!! ^^
