Welcome to Weekly Wishes an awesome link-up created by Melyssa of The Nectar Collective, as a way to breakdown our own goals/wishes for the week, as well as share positivity and motivation to others. I recently shared my New Year’s Resolutions, as well as my Blogging Goals for 2014 and one of those goals was to get back into the Weekly Wishes swing, because i haven’t participated since October and that’s just sad. I’ve always loved the idea of Weekly Wishes and i know it would be the perfect way to remind myself of my long-term 2014 goals! After my previous entries (here) i noticed that blogging about my goals pushes me to reach them by the end of the week and the sense of satisfaction at the finish line feels pretty darn good. Sharing the goals i met at the end of the week keeps me coming back for more. I recently realized that setting weekly wishes was not so much me, so now i’m trying to set Monthly Wishes!
Let’s see how i did in April:
1. Plan our anniversary getaway. Our tickets and hotel are booked! All we have to do now is play the waiting game. I have a couple of ideas of what to do once we’re there, like renting a scooter to get around, go to Kariba Bay (one of the most photographed sightseeing spots in Ishigaki), take a glass-bottomed boat tour, and hopefully take a water buffalo taxi around Taketomi island! I’m sure we’ll want to plan it as we go, but it’s always nice knowing a little bit of what to do. 2. Complete the 30-day Green Smoothie Challenge. I did really good last month, but sadly i didn’t complete the challenge. I missed like 5-6 days of the challenge, but nonetheless i’m pretty proud of myself. 3. Go to the beach. This sadly did not happen and with rainy season upon us, it probably won’t happen until June. But there’s still hope because we will go to the beach on our little getaway! 4. Blog as much as possible. I blogged 12 times this month, i really wish i had done more.
This month’s goals are:
1. Work on a new website for the store. I may get the chance to be in charge of the Gift Shop’s social media and i have so many ideas on how to improve it, one of which is changing the store’s website. I want to impress the board with a
2. Shop for groceries off-base. After living in Okinawa for almost two years i’ve noticed how bad the groceries are on-base. I want to take the extra time to shop for fresh groceries at the local japanese store. I want to stop being lazy.
3. Buy our tickets to Tokyo and plan our family’s trip. Our family is coming in 3 months! Hooray and there’s a lot of planning to be done. We are also taking a family to Tokyo for 4 days and i need to buy our plane tickets.
4. Enjoy our beach getaway. This one pretty much explains itself 😉
5. Finally go to the flea market. We spring cleaned our closets before moving and i have been too lazy to wake up before 6am to get a spot at the flea market. I need to finally go ahead and do it.
6. Blog more! Because i always like adding this one to the mix!
