Hello and welcome to Weekly Wishes!! an awesome link-up created by Melyssa from The Nectar Collective, as a way to breakdown our own goals/wishes for the week, as well as share positivity and motivation to others. I think the idea of creating some goals/wishes before the week begins is a great way to start fresh and with a focused mindset. After my previous entries (here, here, here, here) i noticed that blogging about it definitely pushes me to reach my goals by the end of the week and the sense of satisfaction at the finish line feels pretty darn good. Sharing the goals i met at the end of the week definitely keeps me coming back for more.
Last week’s goal was: to write and send off our wedding thank you cards. I procrastinated so horribly last week and when the weekend came knocking i couldn’t believe i hadn’t even attempted to sit down and start writing our thank you messages. On Sunday i vented on Twitter about how i was failing at completing my goal for the week and Crystal from The Happy Type, took it upon herself to motivate me! Isn’t she the sweetest?! “Strength in numbers” she tweeted, and we made a deal to each spend 30min working on our goal and after a quick trip to the grocery store i sat my butt down for an hour and wrote 20 cards!! Only 30 more to go!
This week’s goal is: to work on chores. There is nothing i hate more than cleaning and while i am a stay at home wife.. until i start my job soon i dislike cleaning and i prefer to spend my day watching TV. As i was pondering what to make my goal this week, i noticed that our apartment is a MESS! The spare bedroom has a couple loads of laundry just hanging out in the bed (laundry is the chore i dread the most), the kitchen counter is full of our recycling items, the dinning room table is full of random stuff, among other messes here and there. My goal is to clean this house.
I also want to finish writing those 30 thank you cards!! Because as soon as i order/receive the return stamp i have my eye on from etsy, i want to send these off so i can finally publish the last ‘Wedding Diaries‘ post.
