Back in the time before coronavirus, we roadtripped to Boston to spend Thanksgiving with my sister-in-law who had just started Harvard Dental School. All of my husband’s immediate family traveled from Puerto Rico to Boston and all 9 of us stayed in her 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment… which was fun (HA!). They actually missed their early morning flight so we got to explore the city just the two of us, which worked out in our favor, and we got to cross off most of the stuff on my list!
We woke up early, jumped on the “T”, and headed to the Boston Common Park. From there walked to the State Library of Massachusetts and then we were off to walk the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile-long path through Downtown Boston that passes by 16 significant historical locations. We were super impressed by how well planned this walk is, just follow the brick path! We didn’t make it to the last 2 spots across the river, but I’m happy with the amount of ground we covered.

^^ of course we had to go in for a Samuel Adams pint and a New England Clam Chowder! ^^

Little Italy – North End
^ A trip to Little Italy wouldn’t be complete without some cannoli from Modern Pastry ^

^^ Italian for lunch of course! ^^

^ Those are dog tags + the sound they made in the wind gave me goosebumps, there’s a video on my IG highlight ^

Beacon Hill
^ one of the most picturesque streets in Beacon Hill… full of influencers, lol! ^

^^ this area had a bit of fall, a bit of Thanksgiving and a bit of Christmas sprinkled around ^^

The in-laws arrived that night so we headed back at sunset. The following day we had lunch at the Barking Crab because of course, we had to have New England seafood! We walked along the waterfront and since our nieces were with us we visited the New England Aquarium. Afterward, we went to eat dinner and shop at Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Since we didn’t do too much on the other 2 days I decided to add those photos to the end of this post. I swear it’s almost over! Haha!

^ only photo I took at the Aquarium of Myrtle the sea turtle ^
The next day was Thanksgiving so we spent the day working in the kitchen and then stuffing ourselves. We did go on a freezing walk around the Boston Common with the whole family. Before we left we explored a bit of Chinatown and tried eating lunch at Ruckus for ramen, but it was closed for some odd reason so we ended eating Shabu Shabu which was a mess with so many people! Lol! Before leaving we had boba tea at Gong Cha and some Chinese bakery treats. We ended our day with a tour of the Samuel Adam’s Brewery and a classy dinner of McDonald’s take out!

^ it was FREEZING but I couldn’t pass on boba from Gong cha! ^
Here are all the places on my Boston list, I’ll include the ones we didn’t make it to as well!
