Day 8 of Blogtember and today’s prompt asks us to: discuss ways that blogging or social media has changed you.
Ever since we got a computer i’ve been part of one social media website or another. From Hi5, to MySpace, Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest and now Twitter! You can say my life has slowly submerged itself into social media, haven’t we all? I’ve always enjoyed talking with my friends online, but above else i love meeting new people online. When i was in high school i used to talk to so many people from around the world, through Hi5. Then when G went into the Marine Corps i ventured into Tumblr and i met so many amazing ladies that helped me through it all. Before moving to Okinawa i followed Facebook groups and other military wives on Instagram to help me ease into this big move and let me tell you, most of the people that have become my good friends here i met through social media. Now, i’ve seen my blog grow so much thanks to Twitter. I used to talk so much $#!t about Twitter and if past me could see me now! haha
Blogging on the other hand has been my dream for quite a few years and i can’t help but smile from ear to ear and giggle every time my blog hits a new milestone. While writing a post that i will be sharing this weekend i noticed how much my blogging voice has grown, my writing has improved tremendously, my content has gotten better and better, my pictures still need some improvement but have evolved nonetheless and my blog has never looked better! Don’t you agree?!
I’ve also connected with so many amazing bloggers since joining Twitter and most important of all i’ve become part of a community, something that’s really exciting to me. There’s nothing better than knowing you have fellow bloggers who enjoy reading your blog, who engage in the comment section, who share your posts to their followers, who buy ad space, and who extend a hand when you need it. If you’re one of these *VIRTUAL HUG*! I love you!
