Right before leaving Puerto Rico this idea popped into my head.. To create and host a fun Instagram challenge for those who live in or have lived in Okinawa! I’ve created two weeks worth of prompts, starting next Wednesday, July 6. This mini Instagram challenge will be a super fun way to see Okinawa through the eyes of my followers and fellow expats!!
The purpose?
To those living in Okinawa, I want you to think long and hard about those little things you love most about our wonderful host country. If you find yourself not having the answer for the day’s prompts I urge you to go out and explore! Whether it’s by trying some yummy snacks at Family Mart, driving around and finding the manhole cover of the city you live in, or that awesome side street that screams JAPAN! Go out and enjoy these days as an expat.
For those already stateside I want you to look back at your Oki pictures and reminisce on all of those little things you miss so much about Okinawa. I bet there are a lot, am I right? If you don’t have pictures for every single prompt no worries, do however many you can. I cannot wait to see your pictures!
The Prompts
Most are pretty simple and/or broad, meaning you can be as creative as can be! For example, under color you can choose one color that stands out the most here, your favorite color, or just a picture full of color! Under food you can either share your absolute favorite or just one of your faves (if you’re like me and have to many to count, lol!), you can even share what you ate that day! Just have fun with it!!
