Cute and Simple Valentine’s

Posted In: Personal
The night before Valentine’s Day i got the idea to find a creative way to ask him to be my valentine’s and then i remembered the Magnetic Chalkboard i bought at the 100 yen store (dollar store) and decided it would be cute to leave it in the refrigerator for him to see when he woke up for work. This is what i came up with, it ended up looking so cute with the heart magnets i also bought! Sadly that night his phone died, which means his alarm didn’t go off and he was late for work. So he didn’t get to see my creation but i sent him a picture when i got up and of course he said YES!
The day before we went shopping and got each others valentine’s presents, i got him a video game (because he decided he didn’t want the coffee maker i was going to get him or the sunglasses) and he got me workout clothes because i’m starting to workout and have nothing to wear! On Valentine’s Day we also got ourselves a 60” TV that we’ve been wanting to buy since we got here but we were waiting until after the wedding.
I decided to cook him dinner because he’s the one who always cooks and i thought it would be a nice present to give him a break from the kitchen. I made a homemade Barbeque Chicken Pizza with homemade dough using two recipes from Marshall’s Abroad, as well as Red Velvet Cupcakes from scratch using a recipe for two from Tasty Kitchen.
^^husband also got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers :)^^

The Pizza Dough makes two thin crust pizzas but i decided to make one because we like our flaky crust. The Barbeque Pizza was sooo delicious we ate half of it that night and we ate the other half the following day for lunch and dinner!! The Red Velvet Recipe i used only makes four cupcakes which is the perfect amount for two people, that way you don’t have a dozen cupcakes to eat by yourself afterwards, lol. We had an awesome candle light dinner and then we watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower on our new TV! We definitely had the perfect Valentine’s!
I recommend you to try these recipes: (you’ll thank me when you do!)
Sorry it took me almost a week to make this post. Husband had a 5-day weekend and i decided to take a break from the computer and enjoy his company! Hope you all enjoyed this President’s Day weekend because we sure did!
xoxo
