The ever
so talented Erika over at Chimerikal started this new blog link-up that focuses on the
idea that practicing mindful gratitude on a regular basis can change our lives.
In her series introduction she
shared how gratitude is a way of seeing the world, a perspective, and how
focusing on what you have rather than what you don’t have, you can life your
life more positively. Her goal is to make Wednesdays Grad-itude 101 day, a said
day to post about the things you’re grateful for this week and the actions that
you’ve taken to shift your attitude. “It’s also about giving and receiving
support through community, as well as reinforcing our habits through
accountability”. Read More

I was going to write about being thankful for my job, but let’s
face it there’s a bigger picture here! All in all i am thankful for everything!
God has blessed me with so much. I have a wonderful husband who not only loves
me but is my best friend. We have a roof over our heads, a nice one if i may
say. We love everything about Okinawa, our home for the next two years. I have
a healthy family back home! I even have a job, although somedays it’s been hard
to see this as a blessing, i am trying my hardest to see past the minimum wage
and stressful environment. I have wonderful co-workers that brighten up my days,
even though i’m mostly the outsider and can barely understand their
conversations. I have this awesome outlet where i can share all of my
inspiration, my hopes and my dreams, and of course lovely readers who visit
everyday and read all of my posts!

In the end i believe i am one lucky lady and i have tons of things
to be grateful for.
to be grateful for.
Here are the 5 things i did this week that helped me to reinforce
a spirit of gratitude:
a spirit of gratitude:
1. Went above and beyond to help my customers.
2. Helped a more experienced cashier with a problem.
3. I played ‘Pictionary’ with friends on Monday, G and I were on
fire!
fire!
4. I watched an Amway online
conference that my mom really wanted me to watch. It definitely brought up my
spirits and made me want to follow in her footsteps.

5. Thanked a friend a million times for letting me hang out at her
house (on another base) and for making me lunch, during a power outage at our
base.
