Welcome to Weekly Wishes an awesome link-up created by Melyssa from The Nectar Collective, as a way to breakdown our own goals/wishes for the week, as well as share positivity and motivation to others. I recently shared my New Year’s Resolutions, as well as my Blogging Goals for 2014. One of those goals is to get back into the Weekly Wishes swing, because i haven’t participated since October and that’s just sad. I’ve always loved the idea of Weekly Wishes and i know it would be the perfect way to remind myself of my long-term 2014 goals! After my previous entries (here) i noticed that blogging about my goals pushes me to reach them by the end of the week and the sense of satisfaction at the finish line feels pretty darn good. Sharing the goals i met at the end of the week keeps me coming back for more.
For some reason i can’t get back into the swing of Weekly Wishes, but i want to try and at least set monthly goals. This month G finally comes back from being away for a month and there will also be a big change coming, one we are so excited about! (No, i’m not pregnant! haha) I’m also in the spring cleaning mood because i want to have the house spotless when G comes back.
This month’s goals are:
1. Work on this months editorial calendar. I especially want to try and write posts in advance. I just purchased The New Yawker’s 2014 Blog Action Planner (for only $7!), i decided to print it and bind it on Staples.com. Hopefully this will help me keep track of this blog of mine.
2. Spring Clean. Like i said above i’m in the cleaning mood and i even made of list of everything that needs to be wiped, sprayed, and either sold, donated or thrown away. Yup, i’m spring cleaning my closet as well, getting rid of a lot of things i don’t use. Would you like me to post them here?
3. Oh laundry, how i hate thee. Yup, this is yet again in my wishes. I have to write it down here because my hatred for folding laundry is that big. I have a couple of loads of laundry hanging out on our couch.
4. Enjoy the flower festivals. Although i went to the Sunflower Festival a couple of weeks ago and saw the Cherry Blossoms as well, it was a super rainy day and i’m not satisfied! As soon as G comes home i want to make the drive to Mt. Yaedake to see these beauties and finally be able to take pictures in peace. I also want to visit the field of Cosmos everybody has been sharing pictures of.
5. Finally let my husband take me boating again. Last time i went out with my husband on a sailboat i thought i was going to die (read more), since then i’ve been dodging the bullet whenever he asks me to go boating with him. He just got this power-boating license and has been itching to take us out, letting me know it’s completely different from the sailboat. We’ll see about that, but this month i want to try my best and please him.
6. Make decisions about our home decor. Along with my cleaning frenzy i’ve gotten a lot of ideas to re-decorate our home. I want to sit down with my husband and decide on certain things i have in mind. I want our house to start feeling like a cozy home. That means selling furniture, finally putting up our wedding pictures and buying some new things.
