Welcome to Weekly Wishes an awesome link-up created by Melyssa of The Nectar Collective, as a way to breakdown our own goals/wishes for the week, as well as share positivity and motivation to others. I recently shared my New Year’s Resolutions, as well as my Blogging Goals for 2014 and one of those goals was to get back into the Weekly Wishes swing, because i haven’t participated since October and that’s just sad. I’ve always loved the idea of Weekly Wishes and i know it would be the perfect way to remind myself of my long-term 2014 goals! After my previous entries (here) i noticed that blogging about my goals pushes me to reach them by the end of the week and the sense of satisfaction at the finish line feels pretty darn good. Sharing the goals i met at the end of the week keeps me coming back for more. I recently realized that setting weekly wishes was not so much me, so now i’m trying to set Monthly Wishes!
Let’s see how i did in March:
1. Unpack, Unpack. I’m proud to say that today i finished unpacking the last couple of boxes that were pilled up in our hall closet! Yay me! 2. Blog More. I blogged 12 times this month! Double what i did in February and i’m pretty happy with that number, although i did slack these last few days. Sometimes you just need a weekend to unwind. 3. Start/Finish projects. I finally finished spray painting our headboard and it’s looking gorgeous in our room! Did you catch the sneak peek i posted on instragram? Click here if you didn’t. 4. Flea Market. Sadly i chose to sleep in this past Sunday instead of waking up at the crack of dawn to participate in the Flea Market, but they happen twice a month so i’m not worried. 5. Go out and explore! This month we explored one of the castle ruins here on island and then drove around two of the little islands that surround us but are connected through bridges. We also went whale watching! Although that was a disaster… i’ll share more on that later.
This month’s goals are:
1. Plan our anniversary getaway. After getting a promotional email from a japanese airline i found the perfect place for a little getaway on Memorial Day Weekend. I just purchased our tickets and reserved our hotel, so now i need to sit down and figure out what to do when we’re there. I’m so excited to get away and spend a little one-on-one time with my love.
2. Complete the 30-day Green Smoothie Challenge! This month i am joining Simple Green Smoothies‘s 30-day challenge with the goal of getting back on track with my health and i am so excited to give it my all! Read more on the challenge.
3. Go to the beach. I went to the beach twice in March, sure it was to look for beach treasures but it still counts. This month i want to go rent white/blue umbrella at Torii Beach and sit down with a book or a group of friends.
4. Blog as much as possible! Yup, i feel like this goal should always be added to the list because why not.
