Weekly Wishes #12

Posted In: Weekly Wishes

Welcome to Weekly Wishes an awesome link-up created by Melyssa from The Nectar Collective, as a way to breakdown our own goals/wishes for the week, as well as share positivity and motivation to others. I recently shared my New Year’s Resolutions, as well as my Blogging Goals for 2014. One of those goals is to get back into the Weekly Wishes swing, because i haven’t participated since October and that’s just sad. I’ve always loved the idea of Weekly Wishes and i know it would be the perfect way to remind myself of my long-term 2014 goals! After my previous entries (here) i noticed that blogging about my goals pushes me to reach them by the end of the week and the sense of satisfaction at the finish line feels pretty darn good. Sharing the goals i met at the end of the week keeps me coming back for more.

Week # 2 Goals

1. Work on this month’s editorial calendar. Jess (Foreign Room) posted her monthly calendar on instagram today and inspired me to do the same, it is one of my Blogging Goals this year!

2. Enjoy every day with my husband. G is leaving next week for another Field-Op in Mt. Fuji and i want to make the best of these days together.

3. Cook everything in our Meal Plan. Every week i work on a Weekly Meal Plan, but sometimes i’m just lazy and decide to cook something easier rather than stick to our plan. I’ve had a Salmon dish on our Meal Plan for almost a month now!! It’s finally time to make it.

4. Start my No-Poo Journey. This year i’ve planned to stay away from Shampoo/Conditioners and try out the No-Poo method, using water, apple cider vinegar and baking soda to wash my hair. I’ve bought almost everything i need, i’m missing some yummy essential oils to make my hair smell good!

5. Take down the Christmas Decorations. The saddest time of the year is when you have to put everything Christmas away, but it has to be done.

6. Decide whether or not we want to move off-base. We’ve already been living for a year in our Base Housing, our building is scheduled to be renovated in June and because housing is at 98% capacity now we’ve been thinking as to whether we should move off-base now and pay the moving out of pocket, or wait until they move us. If we wait there is no guarantee we’ll be able to move off-base. We have an appointment with a moving company on Friday to see how much the moving would cost.
