Hello and welcome to Weekly Wishes an awesome link-up created by Melyssa from The Nectar Collective, as a way to breakdown our own goals/wishes for the week, as well as share positivity and motivation to others. I think the idea of creating some goals/wishes before the week begins is a great way to start fresh and with a focused mindset. After my previous entries (here) i noticed that blogging about it definitely pushes me to reach my goals by the end of the week and the sense of satisfaction at the finish line feels pretty darn good. Sharing the goals i met at the end of the week keeps me coming back for more.
I haven’t been too good at keeping up with these posts every week, but that doesn’t mean i’m not working on my goals ;). Last time i shared my goals was the day G left for his training and he finally got back last Thursday. Can i get a hip-hip hooray?! My goals back then were (1) to stay strong, (2) to clean this mess of a house, (3) to save up as much money as possible, (4) to see my friends and (5) to get this new blog series going! It’s safe to say that i stayed strong, i finally cleaned our house and finished the infinite loads of laundry hanging out in our spare bedroom, we have almost $1,000 in our savings for our December trip and i finally saw my friends, we saw Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown! Oh and my new blog series is already in full swing! I feel accomplished, but at the same time my last Weekly Wishes was almost a month ago!
This week i say goodbye to my job at the Base Exchange and hello to a new job at the Fleet Gift Shop! I will be getting paid just a little more than what i receive now, and although i will be working less hours i will have three days off instead of two and will only work during the day! It’s also a bit closer than my job at the BX and since it’s a small staff i get to travel with ease. Perfect, huh?! Because of this big change, i thought it would be appropriate to share my Wishes. My goals this week are (1) enjoy my last days with my awesome japanese co-workers, (2) say see-you-later to them, not good-bye!, (3) make the best of this new job, (4) finish the guest posts i’m working on, (5) write a heartwarming post for my blog series!
