On our third day in Taiwan we were going to make our way to Hualien, but because we had a little bit of time before our train left Taipei Main Station we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to squeeze the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall into our schedule. We took the MRT to C.K.S. Memorial Hall station, which is super convinient because the hall is right there! It was a gorgeous day and we arrived a few minutes before the first changing of the guards. After taking a few pictures we heard the ceremony starting so we rushed up the stairs only to realize that the hall was blocked-off for contruction (or something)… We were pretty bummed, because we could hear them but not see them. It was still pretty amazing to walk around the Memorial Hall. Also, can you spot Taipei 101 in the picture above?
