Snail Mail Collective

Posted In: snail mail
We live in a time of technology, where emails prevail over paper and where ‘snail mail’ has almost disappeared! In July, Melyssa and Chelsea announced this sweet project called the Snail Mail Collective. These lovely ladies thought of a way to incorporate everybody’s love for receiving snail mail and meeting new people! The Snail Mail Collective is a great way to make international friends and receive meaningful gifts from all over the world, last month 150 people+  participated from more countries than ever before!
How it works > After you sign up, here, you’re paired up with another participant. You two spend a couple of weeks getting to know each other, via e-mails, stalking each other’s blog, sending comments and what not. By the end of the month, it’s shopping time!! The gift has to be of $5 value, think small but meaningful and by the 22nd you mail it off, along with a postcard filled with love. If you’re a blogger you can write a post about your experience and what you got! Melyssa andChelsea will host a link-up at the beginning of the month. If you’re into the idea, read more info > here!

My partner this month was Bethan from A Pretty Place to Play! This pretty lady was born in London, England and although she moved around, she’s now back in the city and lovin’ every minute of it. After noticing she was “sleep-walking” in London, she decided it was time to wake up and enjoy the city before it was too late. Her blog focuses on this, exploring your home turf. Go ahead and check out her blog! 😉

This month’s Snail Mail Collective theme was: Under the Sea and let me tell you I was so excited to receive my package!! Let me tell you she took the theme of the month and went above and beyond! I mean look at all the cute things in her package!

She got me three ‘sea’ themed postcards with a super sweet note and some pearl earrings!! I have been wanting to buy a new pair of pearl earrings because they are the only things i wear and now i have three new pairs in different shades :). I loved everything, from the wrapping, to the stickers and the adorable gifts! Small gifts filled with love all the way from London! That’s what the Snail Mail Collective is all about!

Check out what i sent to Bethan from Okinawa! ðŸ™‚

On another note, i entered a giveaway on 91Dash where her sponsors and friends were offering a Free of Charge registration to Melyssa and Erika’s ‘Everyday Happy‘ e-course and guess what? I WON! I must be on a lucky streak or something because i’ve never won anything in my life and i just won the beautiful blog design your seeing and now this!! I could not contain my happiness because ever since i heard about this project i wanted to join in and was waiting to save up some money for the registration fee.

“Everyday Happy is a positive, soul-renovating experience that delves into the core of who you truly are. It utilizes journaling, spirit-building, and community exercises to access the most radiant version of yourself and help you unlock your happiness potential. This course is unique — it builds positive self image, reconstructs your habits, and connects you to other participants in a thoughtful, like-minded community.”
