Personality Test Results – Blogtember

Welcome to Blogtember! Today’s prompt asks us to: take this short personality test and respond to your results.

After taking the test the results said i was ISFJ personality, 22% “Introvert”, 62% “Sensing”, 100% “Feeling”, 1% “Judging”, according to the Myerrs-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Also called “the nurturer” or “the protector”.

According to Wikipedia:

I-
introversion, ISFJ’s tend to be quiet and reserved. They prefer to interact
with a few close friends rather than a wide circle of acquaintances, and they
expend energy in social situations.
S- sensing,
ISFJ’s tend to be more concrete than abstract. They focus their attention on
details rather than the big picture and on immediate realities rather than
future possibilities.
F-
feeling, ISFJ’s tend to value personal considerations above objective criteria.
When making decisions, they often give more weight to social implications than
logic.
J- judgment,
ISFJ’s tend to plan their activities and make decisions early. They derive a
sense of control through predictability.

Some of the things that stuck from my research were: (1) The most supportive of all types of personalities and they are characterized by their “need to be needed”. “Go above and beyond was is expected”. (16 Personalities) (2) Often unappreciated at work because they prove over and over that they can be relied on for our loyalty and incredible high quality work. (3) Bad at delegating and take too seriously the notion of “If you want it done right, do it yourself”. (Typelogic) (4) Do not like to advertise their achievements. (5) Known for being meticulous, patient, reliable and analytical. (16 Personalities) (6) Family members are the most important people, they pay a lot of attention to their needs and desires. (7) Tend to over-do things, especially in the family environment.

I believe most of the things described in this personality assessment go hand in hand with myself, especially the “need to be needed”, going above and beyond at work and being horrible at delegating. But i do not pay that much attention to family (oops!) and i don’t think i over-do things.
Take the test and let me know if you agree with your results!

My husband on the other hand is has a ISTJ personality, 67% Introvert, 38% Sensing, 25% Thinking, 33% Judging. It was really fun to see how perfect the results described him, more than my results at least! Maybe i answered some of the questions wrong? I don’t know! My favorite part was “they are noted for devotion to duty”, i mean he is a US Marine! haha and according to the ISTJ’s ideal jobs you can find the military among one of them! i couldn’t help but laugh!
