CARA BOX
cara (car-rah) noun : beloved friend
Carabox is a box swap concept created by Kaitlyn over at Wifessionals. It’s a great way to meet new bloggers, get awesome things in the mail, receive some encouragement from lovely ladies, as well as some blog exposure. Each month theres a different theme that make the swap even more fun! After signing up and getting chosen for the Cara Box exchange, you get paired with two bloggers, the one you will send to and the one who will send to you. You get the chance to stalk their blog and email back in forth in order to get to know them. For more details click here.
May’s theme was: “Let’s Get Regional”
Everyone was supposed to get to know their partners and create a box containing items from where they live! It was definitely the perfect theme for my first Cara Box. I was so excited to make a box full of japanese goodies! 🙂
Jillian is the sweetest southern girl from Knoxville, Tennessee. She is a lover of flowers, wine and music. She just became a home owner with her boyfriend of 5 years and her two adorable pups. Her blog focuses on her journey to being healthy and strong, also about her day-to-day life as she makes her house a home.
Stephanie is a newlywed blogger from Lincoln, Nebraska. She is Czech and if you read her blog you can tell she is pretty proud of her heritage. She is involved in many Czech organizations, where she met her husband, who taught her how to play the accordion! Isn’t that awesome?! 😀 She was also crowned Miss Czech-Slovak US in 2010. Her husband proposed after her coronation and it was all caught on tape! (I couldn’t help but tear up when i saw the video!)

Instead of a normal box of goodies, she put together two Date Nights for hubby and I, with things from/about Nebraska. Pretty Creative, huh?! Date Night #1 – Movie night, “About Schmidt” movie, popcorn, kool-aid and sweets! Date Night #2 – Game Night, Playing Cards, Foam Beer Cover, Maroon 5 cd (my favorite) and local honey for the morning after! 🙂 She even wrote down explanations of why she picked these items, which was pretty helpful! It was like Christmas in May when i opened my Cara Box today! Stephanie definitely spoiled me! I am so excited to have these two date nights with the hubby and maybe invite a friend or two to play cards 😉 Stephanie was such a sweetheart, she even wrote Gustavo a note thanking him for his service! This may have been my first Cara Box but i’m pretty sure you’ll see more of these in the months to come.
