This month my husband re-enlisted for four more years in the Marine Corps!! I drove almost 2 hours to Camp Gonsalves Jungle Warfare Training Center where he worked and although it was the longest drive EVER, it was absolutely beautiful! I arrived at 8am in the morning and shortly after they had the formation.
^^ Speech, Speech, Speech! ^^
After the small ceremony the Major stayed behind and talked to me for a while, thanked me for my sacrifice, you know having a husband not living at home for 7 months and all. It was so nice to finally see where my husband spent these last few months. He also encouraged him to show me around the base, first he showed me his classroom and then we went down to the jungle. Thankfully i brought a pair of boots with me because he took me down to see the traps, shelters and other survival things he made to add to his class curriculum, he called it his “legacy” to JWTC.
^^ This is G’s classroom, can you tell only men work here? LOL! ^^
^^ Check out this water purifier! ^^
Since then we’ve said goodbye to JWTC and hello to G’s new job! I’m so excited to finally have him home full-time.
