Oh hey there! It’s been a while.. I’m finally getting back into the rhythm of this whole not-having-a-job-maybe-I-should-blog-again-thing (lol!) and hopefully I can catch up on all the past adventures we’ve had over the last few months. I have a lot of posts from Puerto Rico that I need to work on, so you’ll be seeing a lot of them in the coming weeks!
I’d like to continue with this awesome day trip we did in January to La Parguera, which is a fishing town located in the municipality of Lajas on the south side of the island. My brother-in-law has a boat and he took us out to see the floating homes in the area (especially the one where they got married back in 2014.. sadly not pictured) on our way to Cayo Caracoles, which is one of many small mangrove islands in the area. (Google says they are called cay or keys in english.. you know like the Florida Keys, but that just sounds weird, lol!)
^^ how cool are these floating homes with little garages for the boats! ^^
^^ little cutie wearing the summer yukata (kimono) we got her before she was born! ^^
^^ my father-in-law the chef, always cooking up a storm! ^^
^^ no child was harmed in the making of this picture, lol! ^^^^ can we talk about how amazingly blue and clear the water was here!! ^^
^^ the water is so shallow, you can spend your day sitting, chatting, eating and drinking of course! ^^
If Puerto Rico is on your bucket list and you plan on visiting, La Parguera is definitely a must see! Rent a kayak and island hop around the keys, most importantly book a tour to see the spectacular Bioluminescent Bay!! You won’t regret it.
