Last year a friend told me she went to see the first sunrise and that apparently it’s a japanese tradition, so i knew i had to go and see the first one of 2015. We celebrated New Years at my co-workers house, we played Cards Against Humanity and watched some movies. We woke up at 5:45am and we were at the Nakagusuku Castle Ruins by 6:15am. It was absolutely freezing and you can say none of us were completely prepared for the crazy winds. Everyone was hiding behind one of the castle walls and although the sunrise was kind of disappointing thanks to the stupid clouds, at least we can say we did it. We hadn’t visited these Castle Ruins so it was also nice to walk around the grounds afterwards.

Of course as soon as we got home we passed out until 1pm and spent the rest of the day watching tv. How did you spend New Years Day?! Next year we have to go and experience a temple on New Years Day, because it’s been on my bucketlist since we got here, lol. Also, sorry for the incredible amount of photos on this post!
