Today is the last day of Blogtember! Can you believe it? This month has flown by and today’s prompt asks us to: share a photo of something old. Maybe something that has personal history for you, that was passed down to you, and that has special meaning to you. Tell us about it and why it’s special.
When i read today’s prompt i knew exactly what to write about. That tiny gold ring you see in my hands. It belonged to my mother and was given to her by my father as sort of a pre-engagement ring while they were dating. I was looking through my mother’s jewelry box one day and the second i saw it i tried it on and it fit perfectly on my right hand’s middle finger. I asked her if i could wear it, she told me the story behind it and i haven’t taken it off ever since. It is so simple and delicate. It was actually my ‘something old’ on my wedding day 🙂
Now that i’m half a world away it has gotten an even more personal meaning. It’s a part of my mom that i wear every single day and every time i look at it reminds me of her. Also isn’t that tea cup the cutest thing? My mom got it for my Aqua+Red Kitchen from TJ Maxx i believe!! I thought it would look cute in pictures to show off my ring with it.
Q: Do you have something old, something passed down to you that is very near and dear to your heart?!
