Meet Jess the lovely lady behind the Foreign Room. She’s a college student living it up in the San Francisco Bay Area, who daydreams of someday becoming a graphic designer and a photographer, (check out her pretty blog design and her photography!! isn’t it amazing?!). 1. Why did you start blogging?
I decided to start blogging as a new creative outlet and to join the wonderful community that comes with it! I liked the idea of documenting my life, and sharing all of my interests and adventures with others. It’s been over a year now and I love it!
2. Describe your blog in three words!
This is so hard to do, but i guess three words that describe my blog are: authentic, passionate, and optimistic.
3. What inspires you most?
In my photography, I would say that I am most inspired by light and shadow, but in other aspects of life, I think I am simply inspired by quiet, beautiful moments. I like to take the time to appreciate small things, and I think that shows through who I am.
4. What is your ideal outfit? Like something you would wear everyday if you could?
My ideal outfit is a cute dress, leggings or tights, boots, and a cardigan! I like the easiness and femininity of dresses but the comfort of cardigans, boots, and leggings. I feel and look put together and girly, but I’m comfy all at the same time!
5. Is there a place you call your – happy place? Tell us about it.
There is a place that I call my happy place! It is a hill near my house that overlooks the SF Bay and has stunning views. I love to go there with a blanket, and just sit. I think and dream and soak it all in. I actually posted about it here on Chestnut Mocha a couple of weeks ago :).
