As we were walking toward the train station on our way to the Fushimi Inari Shrine, we spotted Gion across the river. Let me tell you i couldn’t wait for the last attraction of the day, we decided to do the farthest things first and sadly Gion was the closest. Later in the afternoon around 3pm, we made our way back to explore this culturally rich part of town. I really wish we would’ve gone sooner because the sun was setting as soon as we got there. We didn’t get much time to take pictures before it finally said goodbye.
Even though we didn’t get to see any Geisha’s Gion didn’t disappoint! I would gladly go back to Kyoto just to explore this area a little bit more 🙂
