Three months into 2014 and i’m finally joining in on the Creative Collective project, a year long initiative created by Melyssa of The Nectar Collective. Today’s prompt is to become a pseudo-bartender – “create a new cocktail recipe. Give it a fun name and serve it to your friends if you can!” I didn’t really create this cocktail, more like pinned it, but i’ve been wanting to try this drink for a while. I did however made myself a bubble bath and enjoyed a glass of the Sangria, that counts right?!
I am beyond ready for Spring and Summer, and there’s nothing better than a sweet, fruity and refreshing cocktail to welcome the warm weather. Fun Fact: G and I tried this white wine a couple of weeks ago after a co-worker recommended it to me and it’s become our favorite! It’s so light and sweet i knew it was going to be the perfect base for this Sangria recipe.
Fruity White Sangria
- 1 bottle white wine
- 1/3 cup peach schnapps
- 1/4 cup sugar or any other sweetener
- 3/4 cup mango chunks, fresh or frozen
- 3/4 cup pineapple chunks, canned
- 1/3 cup pineapple juice (use whatever is in the can)
Instructions
- 1. Combine first three ingredients in a large pitcher and stir until sugar dissolves.
- 2. Add the remaining ingredients, stir, and refrigerate until chilled. Sangria gets better 8 to 24 hours later. You can (and should) make this a day ahead of time for a party or event if time and planning permits.

Like I said on my previous post, i’m obsessed with mangos and this cocktail is mango lover approved! Plus it literally takes three minutes top to make. If you’re daydreaming of summer i suggest you try this puppy, it’s sure to brighten up any day. Also, how fancy is this clear hole glass decanter i got from work for $11.50!
Q: Are you as ready as i am for warmer weather, sun kissed skin and cold refreshing drinks by the beach?
