Stitch Fix #1

Posted In: Stitch Fix
Last month i signed up for Stitch Fix, this awesome online personal styling service that delivers right to your door, or your friendly neighborhood post office. All you need to do is fill out a style profile, pay a $20 styling fee that is later applied as a credit towards the items you decide to keep, and one of their stylist chooses five items just for you. The best part is that you get to try everything at home, play dress-up, keep what you loved, pay online and just send the rest within 3 business days in the pre-paid envelope provided. It’s that easy and fun! They also ship to military APO/FPO which is a godsend!

What i got:

– Dolman Knit Shirt
– Cowl Neck Asymmetrical Cardigan
– V-Neck Jersey Top
– Heart Print Top
– Black Skinny Ponte Pants

I styled the skinny leggings and the asymmetrical cardigan with a simple white tanktop, Alex and Chloe jewelry from Forever 21 and black heels. I think this outfit is perfect to go from work to play, just change the black heels to black flats to make it more work appropriate. I loved loved loved this cardigan and although i wanted nothing more but to keep it, i knew i wasn’t going to use it for quite a while. You know with summer slowly rolling along. The pants/leggings were really flattering but i already have leggings and black jeans, so i didn’t keep the pants.

When i opened my box i could see this print through the tissue paper and i just knew this was going to be my favorite piece. This silky navy/white heart printed shirt is perfect for spring and summer! I styled it with white shorts, red Keds, a fedora and a grey/cognac bag. It is the perfect piece because it will transition nicely throughout the seasons. This was the only piece i kept from my first Stitch Fix. Even my husband said this shirt screamed my name! 🙂

The grey dolman shirt was alright but a little bit too pricy for just a plain sweater-like shirt. The V-Neck jersey top on the other hand was terrible!! But i think it was because i put on my style profile that i wanted 1 business looking piece in my box. Let’s just say i quickly changed that. Another amazing thing about this service is that not only do they send you cute pieces, they tell you how to style each piece on your box with pictures! I noticed this after i had already played dress-up and it was fun seen how the stylist put outfits together, some a little differently then i had.

Over all it was an great experience and i can’t wait to get my next fix! It was like Christmas in April! If the idea of this service intrigues you i say go for it, sign up! Even if you do it once, you’ll never know if it’s for you unless you try. Also, if you like all your five pieces you get a 25% discount! After paying for the items you’d like to keep, leave your feedback on their website, the better they get to know your style, the better your fixes will be!

Q: What do you think?! Would you sign up to get a personal stylist?
