2 Days in Chicago: Lincoln Park

Back in May 2019, we road tripped to Iowa to see my sister-in-law graduate from college and also visited my aunt who lives in Des Moines. Afterward, we drove to Chicago with my inlaws for two days of exploring the windy city! We stayed in the cutest AirBnb (that you can see on my Instagram highlight), and on our first day, we explored the Lincoln Park area. We walked along North Avenue Beach and was shocked at how beautiful Lake Michigan is, we checked out the flowers at the Lincoln Park Conservatory and enjoyed the warmth and humidity inside, we made a pit stop at the Lincoln Park Zoo before heading out for ramen!!

Since moving back from Japan we’ve made it our mission to eat ramen whenever we visit a big city because we simply cannot find good ramen in the middle of nowhere North Carolina. Thinking of writing a blog post about this… but anyway we ate at Ramen-San (verdict: it was ok), saw the famous Chicago Theater, got some shakes at Potbelly Sandwich Shop, visited the Navy Pier, and ended the day with sunset drinks at the Signature Room at the 95th. Warning: this is a photo-heavy post, so get ready to scroll!!

^^ I easily could’ve spent hours taking photos in this room!! It was so dreamy! ^^

^^ some of these are super grainy… but I don’t even mind!! This view and the passionfruit mojito were amazing!! ^^
