Yuen Po Bird Market

Posted In: Hong Kong | Travel

Our first full day in Hong Kong was spent at the markets! We visited the Bird Market, the Flower Market, the Ladies Market and the Jade Market. We couldn’t find the Goldfish Market but we found a couple of stalls, so this girl was happy because pictures!! I am NOT a bird person, but the Yuen Po Bird Garden was really one of the most interesting markets we visited. There are tons of stalls and vendors selling a variety of birds in beautiful handcrafted bamboo cages, bird food, porcelain water dishes and more.

^^ Love these gorgeous chinese influences in the garden! ^^

^^ Besides the gorgeous bird cages, i also looved that all the birds had porcelain water dishes ^^

^^ This little guy was my favorite! Love the yellow and orange against the black! ^^

^^ Yikes! These were bags of live grasshoppers :/ ^^

^^ Absolutely obsessed with these beautiful cages ^^
