Hualien, Taiwan

Taroko National Park (Part 1)

Posted In: Taiwan | Travel

After arriving at Just Sleep, our hotel in Hualien, we signed up for a half-day tour the next day. We originally wanted to hire a cab to drive us around Taroko Gorge National Park but the tour our hotel arranged was absolutely perfect, it was just us! After an awkward/funny few minutes playing charades (the driver didn’t speak any english), he drove back to his office and picked up a guide that spoke english. Along the way we made stops at Qingshui Cliffs, Shakadang Trail, Cimu Bridge, Taroko Terrace, Jiuqudong (Tunnel of Nine Turns) Trail and lastly the Changchun (Eternal Spring) Shrine. I took to many pictures, so will be dividing this post into two.

^^ Have you ever seen water so blue? I haven’t! The beach, the cliffs, it was absolutely magical ^^

^^ this is what happens when you ask someone to take a picture of you with your DSLR, lol! ^^

^^ We had some delicious sausages at the end of the trail ^^
