Taipei 101

Posted In: Taiwan | Travel

After getting the keys to our Airbnb apartment we took the MRT to visit Taipei 101. Taipei 101 had the title of world’s tallest building until 2010, the title now belongs to Burj Khalifa in Dubai. I know people go to Taipei 101 mostly for the observatory on the 89th floor or even the outdoor one on the 91st floor, but after the whole Sky Tree debacle we decided to skip the observatory. I didn’t know there was an actual mall there but we were pretty surprised by the high end stores and especially by how massive it was, it was fun to window shop. We wanted to eat dumplings at Din Tai Fung but we were starving and decided we couldn’t wait so we had some of Taiwan’s famous Beef Noodles at the food court. It was so full that two Taiwanese ladies decided to sit with us and it was pretty darn awkward, lol.
