After our stopover in Taipei we flew to Bali for 9 days to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We started with 3 days in Seminyak, followed by 3 days in Ubud and ended with 2 days in Uluwatu. The point of this trip was to relax as much as possible, with some adventure on the side. We didn’t hit all the places on my bucket list, but I’m happy with how the trip went.
As soon as we checked into our AirBnb we had the host help us with renting a scooter. The next day we started the day by biking to town. We stopped at La Plancha first, because I’d seen those amazing photos of bean bags on the beach… but sadly they only go out for sunset. We were bummed.. but still ate and drank a bit before heading to lunch at the Potato Head Club.
The Potato Head Club is a popular spot in Seminyak with 3 restaurants, 3 bars, an infinity pool and beach! Since we got there before lunch we were able to score a really nice table, so we ordered appetizers and some delicious drinks. We hung out at the pool and the beach. I really wanted to go back to La Plancha for sunset, but we were too comfortable here, so we decided to watch it here.
The next day we went on a full-day tour where we watched the sunrise at Kintamani, walked through the Lemukih Rice Field and hiked to see the Sekumpul Waterfalls. That night we ate a romantic dinner at La Lucciola, an Italian restaurant on the water; I pinned it on the map below as well. Before we left for Ubud we had breakfast at Motel Mexicola, another popular Seminyak spot.
