Pin-spiration Thursdays: Kitchen

During the last couple of months i’ve been unable to stop thinking about Home Décor, i’m guessing it’s normal when you have your first apartment. Though it’s taken time to make our apartment feel like home, because we obviously don’t have Target, Ikea, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, Homegoods, etc, around here.
The first room i couldn’t get off my mind was the living room, after coming up with the color scheme (orange, blue, yellow) and making my mind up about what to do with each wall (we have tons of wall space), i moved on up to the dinning room. We have “booth” style seats in black leather with a black/cream marble top table and i decided to decorate it with pops of light wood color. You can find these pops in our bamboo place-mats, our little vase with paper flowers and our new bar cabinet! Now, it’s the kitchen i can’t keep my mind off, and after buying a cherry red recipe box on sale at the Base Exchange i decided that Red and Aqua would be the perfect color scheme. I love retro kitchens and i’m excited to make our kitchen feel more “home-y”.
Aren’t these pictures to die for?
I think i am going to make this into a blog series, in order to share with you my weekly inspiration through my favorite pins! What do you think? Would it be something you’d like to see in this lil blog o’mine ? Ps. Go follow me on Pinterest!
