Ishikawa, Okinawa

At the end of the tunnel

Posted In: Okinawa
As part of my weekly goal to get my butt out of my apartment, i decided to do something i’ve been wanting to do for a while. So, yesterday on a boring but beautiful Saturday afternoon i took a drive through 329 to Ishikawa. Every time i go up to Camp Hansen (the base where husband works at) and i drive through this specific road i just stare in awe at the beautiful scenery at the end of the tunnel. I always want to stop and take pictures but never do; now i can say i did.
I parked my car at the bottom of the hill, walked all the way to the top, crossed the road and walked back to the bottom on the other side. I was there for an hour and man did i sweat, but it was so worth it.
^^ even though the bridge overlooks Ishikawa, it is located in Uruma City, home of Okinawan bullfighting^^
Want to know my favorite part about this view?! If you look closely you can appreciate the beauty on each side of the road. On one side you have the ocean, the city and some farmland. On the other side there are mountains and bigger farmland. I don’t know why but it always takes my breath away, to see all of the sides of Okinawa in one place.
Isn’t it spectacular!! What do you think of it?
